We woke up at 7:00 to “get the hell out of Dodge” and head to Denver. The view out the windows of the bus was amazing. After about a five hour bus ride, we arrived.
The first thing we did in Denver was go to the Food Bank of the Rockies. A man named Kevin Seggelke gave us a tour of the place and answered the questions we had. He gave us an idea of how many people there are in the US that depend on food banks like this one to have a full stomach, and he shocked us all when explained that 1 in 6 Americans is on food stamps and 1 in 4 is food insecure.
After that, we got to eat dinner on 16th street, which we found out was a great place to eat and shop.
From there, we went to Lakeside Amusement Park. There were rides for everyone, whether they were into roller coasters or not. At 9:45, we got back on the bus and went to the hotel.
